Not a CSA. On purpose.

A CSA is a good tool. You pay in winter, the farm plans the row, you get a box every week until frost. Around here this year that looks like about $650 to $700 for a half share, and a thousand or more for a full one — paid up before you know if your people will eat kohlrabi. That works for some households. It also prices a lot of families out of food that grew in dirt instead of a warehouse.

Our mission is to bring real food back into families. So we built the other door. A custom ½ bushel is $35. You pick five to ten things from what is actually on the table. We pack 12–15 pounds and have it ready at the stand. Farmers Friend is $25 and we choose. Skip a week. Buy two. Come when you can cook. Do not buy a season of vegetables you will feel guilty about in the crisper.

If you want first look at a scarce week, First Harvest is a small seasonal membership. A Box Pass prepays four or eight boxes so we can plan the row and you can stop thinking about cash at pickup. Still not a mystery share. Still not seven hundred dollars in March.

We will not ship. Pickup is at the stand in Elkhorn / Lafayette. The list on this site is the harvest, not a catalog. If it is gone, it is gone.
